Thanks for reading, Hope the feedback helps and perhaps someone could assist. I always wanted to install GOTR but never did I find a good tutorial that is noob friendly or non-confusing. I now know how to mod Bethesda games as long as they have generally the same build as that of Skyrim or Fallout anyway. I have modded many games to the point of breaking them, Specificly pointing at Skyrim :') I don't know what any of these programs are or what their general use is for. Which indeed I won't untill I actually know what to do.īut my point being that this tutorial isn't very noob friendly. Then your awnser might be "don't mettle with it then" Originally posted by Zappieroth132:As much as I did like to install this mod this tutorial isn't very helpfull unless your good with the tech. If you don't know how to get to your game folder go to steam right click Saints Row 2 and go to properties then local files then click on browse local files. Now go through the installation like usual then go to the MY_CUSTOM_PATCH folder and take those files to your saints row 2 folder and drop them in (Make sure to backup the original files to revert the game back to normal!)ġ2. Now in your terminal type "wine cmd" then type "start Create_Custom_GotR_v1.9.2.bat"ġ1.

Extract the files and go to the folder then open your terminal and cd to the folder for example mine is in my downloads folder so I would do "cd ~/Downloads/Gentlemen_of_the_Row_Saints_Row_2_Super_Mod_v1.9.2"ġ0.

Alright, now your ready to install Gentlemen of the Row On Linux go to idolninja's offical website and download his mod or click This link for an instant downloadĩ. Now configure wine to your liking by typing "winecfg"Ĩ. Type this into your terminal to get the recomended Wine version for your computer "sudo apt-get install -install-recommends winehq-devel"ħ. Do "sudo apt-get update" to update the PPAĦ. Now type this into your terminal "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:wine/wine-builds" (These are all the wine builds)ĥ. ONLY DO THIS IF YOU ARE ON 64-BIT OPERATING SYSTEM! "sudo dpkg -add-architecture i386"Ĥ. Then install it by doing these commands "sudo apt-get update then do sudo apt-get install wine1.8 winetricks"ģ. Install wine open a new terminal and type "sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa" then hit continue.Ģ. Only copy everything inside of the quotation marks.ġ. This will work for most linux operating systems (Based on Debian and Ubuntu). Edit: So this thread is almost 3 years old now, meaning something in this thread may not work, if you experience anything wrong when following this guide, feel free to write a comment I will be glad to help you!įirst I want to make clear I'm using Ubuntu 16.0.4 LTS.
